Larry Bonćhaka (b. 1994) is a Ghanaian multi-media artist whose practice revolves around a critical interest in identity politics, material culture, community based projects, and cohabitation. His 2D and 3D works mirror the everyday systems of production and meaning making.
Larry Bonćhaka received a BFA from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi and is a recent graduate of Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. He is the co-founder of the artists’ collective ASAFO Black and the artists’ and architects’ collective Commune 6x3. In 2022, the artist was part of a group research project with Commune 6x3 and blaxTARLINES presented during DOCUMENTA 15 in Kassel.
